Finally starting to work on the game again and I’m really excited for what I’m currently planning. I’ll post more concept art so you guys can eventually figure it out. I know it would be better that I don’t show you guys too much, but this place is where I think the game really gets started, so a few pictures won’t hurt.

Alright, here’s an update about what’s going on in my life and how it’s going to affect Elysium City.
Last night I went to a meeting for my game team at school. It was long and lasted past midnight, but we were able to get our shit together and I feel we are more organized. Since we’re going to be using pixel art in the game, I was picked to be the environment assets lead. I’ve never been the lead for anything so I’m both anxious and excited for what’s to come. I’m not sure though how much time I will have to work on EC over the next 4-5 weeks.
At the meeting I learned quite a bit about how to sprite more efficiently along with how to organize ideas to put in the game. The art director has quite a bit more experience with pixel art than I do which is pretty cool. So while I might not have as much time to work on EC, I feel that spending more time on the game team at school will help make EC better.
Anyways, that was my little ramble on my current situation. Please enjoy this strange picture of Anne. I really should be posting more drawings of the city.

After taking a short break from the game, I noticed that I enjoy thinking up and planning new areas more than I do drawing them haha! I will still make sure to improve the areas I’ve already put in for the next release.
Anyways, have some art. I experimented a little bit with this piece and I like the way I colored Anne(protip: Always use perspective when drawing man made environments). I’m also looking forward to when I get to the Industrial part of the city, but that won’t be until much later in the game.

Now that I have this done, I’m gonna take a break from working on the game for a bit. That doesn’t mean I wont be planning new areas or characters though. I wish get some feedback from from you guys, Even if it’s just a little bit. Also, I promise to draw something better for the next release haha!
Note: There is not much to do in this version of the game. Most of the areas are incomplete and the story hasn’t really been set. There is one area where you’re supposed to start a quest, but nothing really happens yet. My next release will be the final demo which I plan to have completed by the end of spring. That will have a lot more content in it. So I would recommend waiting until the final If you want to have a lot to play.

I’m really glad to see people looking forward to this game! I’m currently busy with midterms, but the week after midterms, I have spring break so that means I have a lot of time to finish things up for the demo. I can’t wait for you guys to try it out!

Because Uboachan is down, I’m going to post a quick summary of my game for any newcomers.
Anne is a young inventor who ran away from home and took refuge in an abandoned house. She then creates a portal to a new and strange land in hoping to find a better home.
The story is still being worked on, but you basically explore the city while helping people, finding items/tools, and (maybe) solving some puzzles.
